Born in Tirebolu in 1955, Dr. Recep Gedikoğlu is one of Ankara's most established Oral, Dental, and Maxillofacial Surgery specialists, with over 40 years of unparalleled clinical and surgical experience. He currently offers his deep knowledge of advanced surgical procedures to patients at the Karaer Oral and Dental Health Center located in the Çayyolu district of Ankara.
Distinguished Educational Background and Specialization Degree
Dr. Gedikoğlu, who laid the academic foundation in Türkiye's most prestigious medical institutions, began his undergraduate education at Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1974 and graduated successfully in 1979.
Not content with just basic dentistry, he aimed to specialize in surgery; between 1984 and 1988, he completed his doctoral education at Gazi University, Department of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Diseases and Surgery, and successfully obtained the title of "Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist (Doctor)".
Years Dedicated to Public Service and Clinical Experience
After completing his undergraduate and doctoral studies, Dr. Gedikoğlu served the state and society for many years, undertaking critical roles in a wide variety of institutions throughout his professional career.
He worked within the Turkish Ministry of Health between 1988 and 1991.
Between 1991 and 2012, he had a long and successful career under the General Directorate of Youth and Sports.
In addition to his extensive service in the public sector, he gained 8 years of experience as a private dentist (private practice) throughout his career, successfully performing surgical treatments on thousands of patients.
Founding Leadership in Implantology and Karaer Dent
In implant treatment, one of the most critical areas of modern dentistry, he is not only a practitioner but also a leader who shapes the sector. He is one of the founders of the Oral Implant Academy Association, which pioneers scientific developments in the field of implantology in Türkiye.
As of May 2023, Karaer Oral and Dental Health Center has brought its vast surgical and academic experience, accumulated over nearly half a century, to its structure. Our clinic continues to accept patients for impacted wisdom tooth extractions, complex jaw surgery operations, and advanced implant treatments.
