Pregnant Patients

What Treatments Are Applied?
Only emergency dental treatments are performed on pregnant patients if their doctor approves.
Which Interval Is Most Suitable for Treatment?
For pregnant patients, the second trimester of pregnancy is preferred for emergency dental treatments.
What medications can be given?
In pregnant patients, adrenaline-free local anesthesia is used during the procedure with doctor's approval. If necessary, penicillin antibiotics and paracetamol painkillers may be used with doctor's approval and if the patient has no allergies.
Can Pregnant Patients Have X-rays?
Routine imaging procedures in dental practice use very low levels of radiation.
However, radiographs are preferably not taken in pregnant patients unless absolutely necessary. However, if radiography is necessary for diagnosis and treatment, periapical and bite-wing radiographs with very low radiation levels can be taken, while protecting the abdominal area.
