Pregnant Patients

What Treatments Are Applied?

For pregnant patients, only emergency dental treatments are performed if approved by the doctor.

Which Range Is Most Suitable For Treatment?

For pregnant patients, the second trimester of pregnancy is preferred for emergency dental treatments.

What medications can be given?

In pregnant patients, adrenaline-free local anesthesia is used during the procedure with the approval of the doctor. If necessary, penicillin-containing antibiotics and paracetamol-containing painkillers can be used with the approval of the doctor and if the patient is not allergic.

Can I Shoot a Film?

Routine imaging procedures in dental practice use very low levels of radiation.

Despite this, it is not recommended to take films unless necessary in pregnant patients. However, if radiography is necessary for diagnosis and treatment, periapical and bite-wing films with very low radiation levels can be taken while protecting the abdominal area.
